Doinb Becomes The First Player To Obtain LPL Residency In League Of Legends

Fun Plus Phoenix announced yesterday on their social media that the LPL approved the petition to change Doinb’s residency to LPL.
Going forward, Doinb will no longer take up an import slot, and the team is free to import players for another role if it needs to. Doinb Becomes The First Player To Obtain LPL Residency In League Of Legends.
The rule, sometimes informally known as ‘the import rule,’ is part of Riot’s interregional movement policy (IMP), and similar rules affect the majority of League of Legends’ official sanctioned leagues.
The announcement comes as an additional boon for Doinb during a remarkable season. After his team’s dramatic defeat of G2 Esports in the finals of the League of Legends World Championship earlier this year, the charismatic player saw his stock rise dramatically.
Over several months the mid lane has seen his popularity rise, amassing over 100,000 followers on Twitter in just a few months. He became famous for the Western scene with his dance streams, especially during the World Championship tournament. There was friendly banter between the G2 Esports ADC and Doinb on twitter, such as
Doinb’s new residency has firmly cemented him as one of the LPL’s premier stars.
Furthermore, he’s in prime position to take advantage of his popularity and fame to leverage both a more lucrative contract and a possible spot on other LPL teams in the future. For now, though, Doinb is staying put. He’ll continue with FPX through the 2020 season as they look to repeat the success of this year.
While most Koreans who come to the region refuse to learn the language to be able to understand teammates better and have improved game plans, Doinb is one of those rare cases where the players put a lot of effort into integration. He became very fluent in Chinese over the years that even for natives, it is hard to distinguish the accent. Another Korean who is notorious for integrating into the Chinese scene is IG’s mid laner, Rookie.
History was made, and hopefully, more players follow this example. While joining another region and playing for the team seems easy at the start, integrating into the society, the culture, and adapting to the new team members and their values is much harder. Doing proved that it was possible to set differences aside and to integrate, which allowed him to win a World Championship.
No one can predict if Doinb and his team will follow the same path of success as last year or if they will fail, but for now, the signs show only good things for the team, which maintained the entire World Championship roster.

After A Short Delay, New Apex Legends Patch With Level Cap Increase Is Live For Xbox And PlayStation

Apex Legends new patch, which brings friendly fire to the firing range, a brand new level cap for those who were previously at 100, and a few bug fixes and game tweaks, is now live on consoles. It was delayed for over a day because of an unforeseen issue which caused huge performance problems on PC.
Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legend has received a number of updates in the last couple of weeks, a few of which had made players unhappy with the state of the meta. The Peacekeeper shotgun was buffed, with its spread damage increased, leading to top Apex streamer Aceu to have a “Times Peacekeepered” counter at the top right of his screen.
Apex Legends’ latest patch is now ready to download on PS4 and Xbox One after a Reddit comment from one of the Respawn devs said that they had been working around the clock to resolve the problem. After A Short Delay, New Apex Legends Patch With Level Cap Increase Is Live For Xbox And PlayStation.
Alongside some gameplay tweaks – as they’ve spoken about the PK buffs and a few other issues – this update looks to increase the level cap for those who’ve already hit max level. You’ll also be able to earn a number of free Apex packs, as the amount earned from 0-100 is increased alongside those you earn for continuing to progress in the game.
One issue that wasn’t touched upon in the patch notes was SBMM, or Skill Based Matchmaking. This has been a hot topic over the last week, as many players are frustrated at the secretive inclusion of matchmaking based on your skill level. Many suggest that, as a casual BR game, Apex Legends shouldn’t feature SBMM. There has been no word from the devs, as of yet, whether they will address this community outcry.

Criss Angel Reveals His 5-Year-Old Son Johnny's Cancer Has Returned

Criss Angel gave a sad update on Wednesday concerning his 5-year-old son, Johnny's, battle with cancer. Criss Angel Reveals His 5-Year-Old Son's Cancer Has Returned.
"We have recently had confirmation that our 5-year-old son Johnny Cristopher has relapsed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). While we are devastated by this unexpected news, we believe that he will be in remission again soon," the 51-year-old illusionist told ET in a statement. "We have great faith and hope for his treatment at both Summerlin Hospital and Cure 4 the Kids Foundation with Dr. Alan Ikeda, who has been treating Johnny Crisstopher in Nevada. He is an amazingly strong little boy, and with the support of family, friends, and my loyal fans we look forward to the day he is again in remission."
"This setback only continues my commitment to raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research and treatment. We are working on a huge event for next year in support of our foundation, The Johnny Crisstopher Children’s Charitable Foundation, and will announce more details about it as things are confirmed. We want to thank you all for the outpouring of love, good thoughts, and prayers for our amazing boy."
Angel first revealed that Johnny's cancer has returned after he had previously been in remission in a video published on TMZ. Johnny was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in October 2015. In June 2016, Angel said his young son was in remission.
He got diagnosed with pediatric cancer before he was two years old, he's been in treatment for over three years, he's been in remission, but unfortunately ... he had a relapse, and he's going back into the hospital on Monday," Angel told TMZ.
Angel said he's going to host another charity event in Las Vegas next year to raise money for children with pediatric cancer, with a goal of raising $5 million. Meanwhile, he's enjoying spending time with Johnny, sharing that he was in Los Angeles to take him to Disneyland and Universal Studios.
ET spoke with Angel in March at the renamed Criss Angel Theater at Planet Hollywood, where he talked about Johnny's health.
"We get a blood test every month or two and everything is coming back with all signs that he is remaining in remission and we pray that he remains there for the rest of his life," he said at the time.
He also talked about raising money for pediatric cancer and how his life has been with two young children. Angel and his wife, Shaunyl Benson, welcomed their second son together, Xristos, in January.
"Obviously, you know, I don't sleep very much but I'm so blessed," he told ET. "I'm so thankful and I feel like all the success that I've been so blessed to have is really for a great cause -- and that is pediatric cancer. One child every two minutes is diagnosed with it. So, if you'd like to help out, you can go to crissangel.com, click the help button and donate and know that 100 percent of every cent you donate will go to research and treatment for these children suffering from this horrible disease.
